Civilization Projects

This is for, what the discord lovingly calls, 'top hat beaver' content and ideas. Mechanics that will be used to flesh out the game over the absolute necessary mechanics of the core concepts. Eventually, as the development of the SOTE project continues, things in this forum may move to the 'Core Concepts' forums as things are completed and what were once future ideas become pressing and more important to develop

Civilization Projects

Civilization Projects would be massive undertakings that would change the game well after the decline of a civilization. This would give powerful civilizations goals to do before they decline.

These would be things a civilization building a Minas Tirith like city, making a pact with a demon creating the demon kin race, A king seeking immortality and becoming a vampire, a civilization building monuments like the pyramids, or discovering this great magical power source that is used in every aspect of the civilization ect.

So the idea is that certain "great works", would have a more lasting impact on the world, culturally, and that a player could strive for that? Still not exactly following you.

These would be large projects that would out last the empire that built them. They would be challenging to create and would strain powerful empires resources. This would give powerful empires an "end game" goal and create dynamic history as well.

It sound fun to be able to build towords something like the pyramids. If you can play on a world indefenitly you could then find the structures you bild like 10000 years ago with that one civ you played like 1 year ago. Would create a lot more attchment to a world you played in and make it less likely that you would regenerate a new one.
